Below are the prematriculation inventories that incoming first-year students have completed, beginning with the Fall 2013 cohort. In most years, the inventory has been updated from the previous year, both to remove constructs that were not showing a direct relationship to one-year retention outcomes at UIC, and to test out questions in relation to new noncognitive categories. A prematriculation inventory for transfer students was launched in Spring 2020.
For each entry below, the Prematriculation Inventory Information Document contains a description of the scale used for each factor, as well as reference information in relation to those scales.
